On tuesday, all of the TY's travelled to Mullingar(Hometown of Niall Horan!) to perform our dramas which we wrote ourselves.
Our drama was based on the poem Tich Miller by Wendy Cope, we were all nervous but it went well even though we only had a weeks practice.
After performing our dramas we were free to go for lunch in Mullingar town, we went to McDonalds and i was on the hunt for Niall Horan since he was home on Tuesday for One Directions concert in the O2, but I didnt find him:(
Then on Tuesday night I went to One Direction! It was amazing! All of the bands family's and friends were sitting in front of us and we were so close. Im so sad its over and i cant wait 'til they come back hopefully soon!

BT Young Scientist Competition:)
From Wednesday to Saturday last week, myself and 10 other girls from TY were in the RDS Dublin for the BT Young Scientist Competition.
Me, Leah and Hannah were in a group together and our project was titled ''An analysis of how a communities awareness of their energy use can influence their energy output''. There were 3 other groups from our school titled ''Surf's App'', ''Do you smell what I smell?(The study of peoples perception of smell)'' and ''Is the fear of spiders a learnt fear or a natural fear''.
All week we were judged on our projects and we made so many new friends and talked to lots of new people.
We all enjoyed the competition so much and i thought it was the most enjoyable experience of TY so far. Even though we were tired coming home every day we still had so much fun and we all miss getting up to go to the competition every morning.

Briary Gap competition, Mullingar
Next Tuesday, the 24th of January, two of the TY classes are going to the Briary Gap competition as we have entered dramas into the competition.
There are 13 people in our group and our drama is based on the poem ''A war story, Tainted beauty''. Hopefully our drama will come together by next Tuesday because at the moment it is not coming on very well. All of TY will be going to the competition to support eachother so it will be an enjoyable day.
Also next Tuesday i am going to ONE DIRECTION, counting down the days!
