At the moment, I am trying to organise my TY work experience for November and February. It is hard to find places that do take on TY's for work experience. Now i only have a month until my first week of work experience and i'm under pressure to find somewhere.
At this time last week, I was in IT class waiting to recieve my Junior Cert results. Now im so glad its over and i am quite happy with my results.

Junior Cert Results
Yesterday at lunch time, all TY's and 5th years that did their Junior Cert last June recieved their exam results. I was really nervous when we were waiting to revieve our results but when i got them i was quite happy with what i got. To celebrate our results, the whole year went to a disco in a nightclub in Naas. I got ready with all of my friends and we got a bus to the nightclub. It was a really good night but now i cant keep my eyes open!

Carlingford! :)
At 7 o'clock on Monday morning, all of TY met up at esso to set off for our trip to Carlingford adventure centre. It took us an hour and a half to get to carlingford and when we got there we all had to carry our overpacked bags up to the hostel we were staying in. When we first arrived we met some of the instructors and were told that our first activity would be laser tag, we got changed into camoflage overalls and were givin our laser guns. We played laser tag in the forest, we rolled around in the muck and got dirty but it was still really fun. Later on that night we went back to the forest for a nightline, we were all in a line, blindfolded and holding on to the person in front of us. We had to hold on to a rope and guide eachother through the forest, it was all about communication skills and we all did quite well. When we got back to the hostel we got chinese and went to our rooms. I stayed in a room with all of my friends, we had good fun and were entertained for the night. At 2 o'clock in the morning, i eventually got some sleep and woke up at half 7, everyone was wrecked. That morning we had breakfast and set offfor rock climbing and ab-sailing. After that we had lunch and went orientering, we had to hike up the mountain and look for letters making up a phrase, it was hard work because everyone was tired from the day before but we were the first group back and got to have a rest while we were waiting for everyone else to come back. At 5 o'clock we got on the bus and left Carlingford, most of us slept on the journey home and we arrived back at half 6. I really enjoyed Carlingford, i thought all of the instructors were really nice and i would love to go back.
Today everyone is tired and nervous because we are getting our Junior Cert results later on..Wish me luck!

First Week Of TY!
Last Monday, 29th September, was my first day back in school after summer and my first day of Transition Year. When we first came in we were put into our classes, Banba, Eiru and Folda. I was put into Banba with some of my friends and i was really happy with my class. We were then given our timetable and went off to class.
On Thursdays all TY's do three different activities for our afternoon classes, first we do dancing, then a photography class and pilates. This is really enjoyable as it is something different that we do once a week.
In science class we found out that we would be entering the young scientist competition in groups of three. In geography we will be doing a project in which we must organise a trip around the world to six different counties within a year with a budget of twelve thousand euro each. We also have a class called mini-company in which we are in groups of eight and we must run our own mini-company and we each invest a certain amount of share capital for this company.
Next Monday, 12th September all of TY will be going on a trip to Carlingford for one night. I am looking forward to going on the trip and getting to know all of the TY's.
